Education

KIRF INDIA provides children's academic and adult health and literacy educational programs for the rural poor in partnership with local community leaders and non-profit partners in Bihar, India. Our Education Centers are established in primarily illiterate villages. The concept of education for these Dalit children is new, especially for girls. Schools begun with the local villagers and initially funded by KIRF India are listed below.

Kirwin James International School
	Primary & middle school Opened: 2009 Serving: 100 students, boys and girls, 5 to 11 years old Curiculum: Hindi, Math, English, Writing, ,health, and sewing centre for youth Generous donors and local community support have enabled KIRF India to purchase the land, building materials, necessary permits as well as school supplies and teachers' salaries. TheKirwin James International School is within walking distance of the rural villages of Shekharwa and Mathiani near Bodhgaya. The school hosts the Sewing Center – a vocational training and certificate of achievement opportunity for its students.

Sabel Bigha Educational Center

Uniforms: provided by KIRF India's non-profit partners in Bermuda Health care: Nutrition therapy, health and medical care are provided bi-monthly with use of KIRF INDIA'S jeep by a local Indian non-profit's mobile health clinic in partnership with the Root Institute. Sarvodaypuri Educational Center

Bairadih Educational Center
	PRIMARY SCHOOL Operation: 2005-2008 Peak Enrollment: 200 Gender: boys and girls Teachers: 3 Curiculum: Hindi, Math, English, Writing School Supplies: 4 subject textbooks and stationary per student were provided by KIRF India and the Kirwin International Relief Foundation (KIRF) Physical education and cognitiive enrichment: sports equipment, educational board games, art supplies were provided by KIRF India Faciiities: Classrooms, drinking water and land were provided by local government Uniforms: Were provided by KIRF India's non-profit partners in Bermuda Health care: Nutrition therapy, health and medical care were provided bi-monthly with use of KIRF INDIA'S jeep by a local Indian non-profit's mobile health clinic in partnership with the Root Institute. Management: Suspended, new government school created in nearby village.

Jaunper Priviledge-Sharing School (Sishu Vihar Public School)
	PRIMARY SCHOOL Established: 2003 Peak Enrollment: 200 Gender: boys and girls Teachers: 3 School Supplies: 4 subject textbooks, stationary and a school backpack were provided for each student by Diane Kirwin's fund raising and non-profit organizations in Bermuda Physical education and cognitiive enrichment: sports equipment, educational board games, art supplies were provided by by Diane Kirwin's fund raising Faciiities: Classrooms, drinking water well and land purchase were made possible by fundraising by Diane Kirwin of KIRF INDIA Uniforms: Were provided by Diane Kirwin's fund raising and non-profit organizations in Bermuda Management: Priviledge-Sharing Switzerland
